Just as any artistic endeavor is a way to make sense of the world it also becomes a snapshot of creative growth at a moment in time. The title of this show, a statement recently used in the US legislature to redirect the flow of conversations and inquiries, has resonated with recent events in my life. Losses of people  and studios through death and fire, aging systems and strategies, testing of beliefs and orthodoxies have challenged my perceptions of life and underscored my temporary place in it. The phrase also symbolizes a look backwards at my previous artistic solutions and interpretations and reminds us to keep our priorities with this most precious of gifts, time.
