Type of Position:  Full-Time, salaried 
Immediate Supervisor: Executive Director 

Position Summary: Principal marketing and communications staff person of the Thelma Sadoff Center for the Arts. 

Position Responsibilities: 

  1. Acts as the lead marketing and communications staff person working with the Executive Director and other staff in executing the mission and strategies of THELMA. 
  2. Participates with the Executive Director and the Marketing Committee in developing Marketing and Communications Plans. 
  3. Promotes organization events and activities through: 
  • Website 
  • Social media 
  • News releases to and appearances on free media 
  • Paid advertising (subject to approved plans and budgets) 
  • Community calendars and links with other websites 
  1. Writes, edits, and manages production of printed materials, such as member newsletter/magazine, event programs and playbills, brochures, etc. 
  2. Maintains communication links and two-way communications with: 
  • Membership 
  • Community leaders and organizations 
  • Local arts community 
  • General public 
  1. Prepares public relations materials as required 
  2. Assists Executive Director with other duties and activities as assigned 

Desired Qualifications:   

Education:  Prefer a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or an appropriate field  

Experience:  Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in marketing and communications of events, exhibits, performances, etc. in an organization where the experience will translate to this non-profit 


Special skills:   

  • Proficient with computer software, e.g. Microsoft Office, Canva, Photoshop 
  • Proven communications ability both verbal and written 
  • Prior experience in developing and executing written marketing materials, newsletters, etc. 
  • Demonstrable experience in website management, use of social media, etc.

Are you looking to do something different every day? Join the THELMA Events Team. Concerts, weddings, corporate gatherings, and art exhibits – there is so much happening at THELMA and we need help keeping THELMA the gem that it is! Duties include event set up/tear down, painting, and cleaning. Must be able to lift 50 pounds, must be honest and reliable. Hours vary and include evenings and weekends.

Job Type: Part-time
Salary: From $14.00 per hour

Currently seeking highly-motivated, customer service-oriented bartenders to work part-time at Fond du Lac’s Premier Venue. Must be able to work evenings and weekends. Will train the right candidates.
